Location – In Oviedo, capital of the northern
Principado de Asturias state, a safe modern city of medieval origins with a population of 225,000.
History – Inaugurated in 1968, EUTA has been granting official degrees
from Universidad de Oviedo since 1998.
University culture – A Spanish urban university environment, promoting immersion in the host culture.
Accreditation – Fully accredited university, of the Principado de
Asturias state, offering a Spanish official government-approved degree in Tourism at
the bachelor level.
Student life –Lower cost and higher quality of life than other
Spanish cities.
University campus and facilities – The Oviedo campus is within the city and served by public transportation.
Internship opportunities – Available in July (for exchange students who attend the spring semester) administered by SEP through agreements with local companies.
Academic programs – Courses are taught in Spanish. EUTA does not currently offer courses taugt in English, but contemplates
this possibility for future academic years.
